Blender is a free CAD software allowing you to create floorpans, 3D visuals, photorealistic renders and animations. Blender can be used to create interior design schemes where the designer can make their own models or import models and objects from a multitude of different online free resource sites. Here is a collection of renders that I have designed using Blender, to showcase my range of 3D design and visualisation skills.
Bathroom design created in Blender 2.8. Inspired by the latest trend of using blue in modern interiors. I wanted to create a bathroom that is timeless, with a mixture between modern and traditional. I did this by designing the bathroom cabinetry in a shaker style and keeping it contemporary with a touch of Italian design with bright colours, marbled worktops and clean, minimalist forms and lines. This model was my first blender modern without fully following a tutorial. This was really fun to make, as it allowed me to learn different ways of making the individual models, how to add textures and create atmospheric lighting. When studying Interior Design and Decoration at Southampton Solent University, I created visuals and layouts using Vectorworks, so being able to learn a new and different CAD software was a great challenge and very important for me to continue learning new skills.
The above image was my first Blender model and photorealistic render that I created whilst teaching myself how to use blender and following along with a beginners tutorial in Blender 2.8.
