As part of a collaboration with Blendworth, my class were assigned a brief to create a surface pattern collection to be used on fabrics and wallpapers in a Luxury Country Hotel set in the new Forrest and based on the theme of British Heritage.
I was inspired by the British countryside and surrounding area of the hotel, and based my pattern collection on british wildlife and plants. I hand drew and painted the motifs and created the repeat patterns in Photoshop. I then styled these patterns by creating 3D visualisations in Vectorworks. The class were required to present our designs to the head of Blendworth and their head Designer, and I was one of 4 students that won a work experience placement with the design team at Blendworth's HQ in the Summer of 2016.
