The brief was refresh of my client's kitchen in a classic Cream Shaker style kitchen with quartz worktops in the colour Dune and updated appliances. Storage and worktop space was essential, so I designed a U-shape kitchen, placing a double oven in a tower, with a pull out larder next to it. On the opposite wall to the window, I added a couple of more units, with any exposed corners incorporating a curved corner post to smooth out the corners and add a softer, more modern feel to the kitchen.

To help lift the kitchen, my clients went with a stone effect tile on the floor and subway tiles in different tones of grey and cream as a splash back along all the walls to tie all the different colours in the kitchen together. This helps carry the eye around the room. I loved this design, because it's very different to what I would normally design with as a more neutral colour palette is not my go to when creating an interior scheme. However, the different tones used in this space creates just the right amount of contrast and invokes a very calm and relaxing atmosphere in the heart of this family home.
